Sunday 10 Apr 19.30 • (Bibliothèque) A few years ago, commentators were quick to coin the election protests in Iran as a “Twitter Revolution” due to the widespread use of social media amongst protesters. We will also discuss how the widespread use of social media affected the perception of the protests abroad and whether the reaction of the international community was shaped by the use of these new tools.
